It has been quite some time since I have done a post about makeup, however, since it is the beginning of fall, I figured I would do some of my favorite makeup favorites. Fall makeup looks are constantly changing with new trends being thrown into the mix. Here are my top 3 fall beauty favs for 2015:
1. Kat Von D Lipstick in the shade "Vampira".
2. Too Faced "Born This Way" Foundation:
3. Essie's "Go Ginza" Nail Polish:
I hope you try some of these out! Check back soon for more on Trending Through Life

Pretty Leaves and Long Sleeves
My absolute favorite time is approaching us at a rapid pace: FALL! Pretty leaves and long sleeves is my motto for this epoch of beauty.
Today, I am going to talk about colors for autumn and what to pair them with!
By far, my favorite color which is already showcasing itself is Olive Green. Although it is not a typical neutral, it consistently acts as one while being paired with other colors. Creating a color scheme with this deep forest green can be tricky, but a safe trio I have discovered looks amazing together includes white and red/pink tints in the mix. Christian Dior explored the realm of this rich green in multiple of his designs during his Fall 2015 Couture Collection Fashion Show. Here are a few of my favorites:
Although it is not easily spotted, the dress pants included in the design on the right have a slight pink tone balancing out the richness of the contrast of Olive Green and White. As for the dress on the left, the mix of pink toned florals add a message of femininity to the boxy shape of the dress.
Another flash of color highlighted on the runway for Fall of 2015 is a flash of red. Many designer such as Kate Spade have been pairing neutrals together and implementing a pop of red into the look. This season, Kate Spade took a leap and showcased this strong hued color in a multitude of designs, here are a few which stand out:
These two color schemes placed together by designers on the runway are quite different from the years in the past. There is going to be a bit more of brightness this Fall and I am so excited to wear the colors.

Northside takes Southtown SATX
Two Northside girls took Southtown today. Alina and I ventured in and out of downtown San Antonio searching to discover the up and coming area known as "Southtown San Antonio". Finally, after an hour of looking, we found the trendy area.
Disclaimer: Alina and I have a weakness for researching cute cafes and coffee shops and checking them out. Southtown is made up solely of trendy places similar to this, so naturally we gravitated to the area quickly.
We started out the morning at a quaint coffee shop called The White Elephant Coffee Co. Honestly, I was scared when we were driving to the coffee shop, because we had to drive through a scary part of San Antonio, but once we got there, it was all better. The coffee was amazing and slightly stronger than any other iced latte I have tasted. Definitely a 10 out of 10 place.
After our morning kickstart, we tried to find the shopping area of Southtown and ended up not where we wanted. Eventually we humbled ourselves down to ask an information kiosk where the shops were and he pointed us in the right direction.
Hot and hungry, we pulled up to the area and dashed into a cafe titled Halcyon. It was super cute and had calm vibes throughout the lounge.
After a long day of exploring, Alina and I decided to dedicate another day as well to exploring Southtown SATX a little more.
If you are ever in the mood to explore a piece of San Antonio, Texas, I strongly suggest checking out this trendy area of the city.
XOXO
